Here’s another day spent with the Summer Writing Club. It was quite the adventure. Downtown West Palm Beach, aka City Place, is pretty huge. We spent a chunk of our day there and we still only hit a little bit of the city. I’m used to City Place at night, but during the day it’s actually pretty inviting.
We met with a publisher and she gave out a bunch of cool books. I posted about them on Rae’s Reads and Reviews, so check that out if you’re interested.
I brought the camera along again and I took soooo many pictures. Here’s a few.
There was a gallery in the library of photos taken from space. Here’s Coach Harriott trying to throw up the L-Dub sign. I had a friend take a couple pictures of me writing. Much like the pictures in Lake Worth. I wanted to get artsy. So I did. Julisa volunteered to be my model for the day. This display at Subculture Coffee reminds me of the one in Puerto Rico. It’s nice smelling the flowers. This Einstein mural was one of my favorites of the day. Christine Sylvain of Path to College spoke with the group. Tyler Doss, an FAU journalism student, who spoke with us about his interviewing experience. Venessa Carson works with Penguin Young Readers and she gifted us with great books. Kim Stokes talked to us about educational and online publishing. We got a party size pizza. Christine’s office was so nice. We had our final writing assignment at Christine’s office space.
